Posted this ‘hot take’ the other day and got a bit of pushback…
IMO - the vapormax is a marketing campaign classic - this shoe went viral for all of the wrong reasons. Without social media, I think this shoe would have went nowhere…the upper is entirely non-descript and the tooling isn’t meant to last.
I really think this shoe just sucks.
That being said - the VAPORMAX PLUS - this one deserves consideration as a classic…but…what’s that say about the original when the BETTER version of its sole sits atop a bite?
IMO this shoe can live in the past.
