After several painstaking hours and several pixel-by-pixel reviews and several discussions with colleagues and several image requests from both parties, we came across a handful of minor discrepancies. They’re not huge - they’re very subtle - but if you know anything about authenticating sneakers, you know that the devil can be in the details. These are the first three issues we found. The red magnifying glass has been placed over the pics sent in by my customer. The green magnifying glass has been placed over the pics sent in by the scratch-off winner. ...
First comparison:
1. The padding under the '2' on the heel is thicker on the real pair than the pair my customer sent. Could be the angle or the lighting.

2. Second, you can see the outsole on my customers pair is quite a bit milkier (less clear) than the authentic pair. If you look near the arch, you can see clear carbon fiber boxes through the sole on the pair with worse lighting, and you can’t really see them on the pair with better lighting. Could be the lighting.

3. Every pair we've seen has included a handwritten letter from Jordan Brand and a Jumpman/Jeter Penant included in the box. The customers pair came with neither. There is also cardboard ankle inserts on the authentic pairs and I didn't see any with my customers pair. Lastly - we rarely come across samples with boxes, let alone brand new themed boxes with no other discernible information on the box. Why did this pair come with the special box but with none of the special contents? Could be...?

I know it doesn’t seem like much, but it was enough for us to dig in further. Do you think this is enough to say ‘they’re fake’ and request a refund?
