I want to say this commercial was still around 1990 or 1991...right before I was starting to get into Basketball...Truth be told, I didn’t give a damn about ‘the Human Highlight Reel’ back then and I’m not even totally sure I knew who he was. I just didn’t care. I was really into skateboarding at the time, so this commercial had me hella hype. I don’t even remember where I saw it (or how I watched it) because I didn’t have cable growing up...maybe it was on the 1 or 2 local channels we used to get...everyone in my school knew someone who knew this kid, but I think that was just one of those ‘urban legends’ No one knew Jessie Roach, but it was incredible that he had on some dope shoes and just decided he was going to dunk a basketball while skateboarding up a half pipe against Dominique. Duh.
