See, my ‘Jordans Buyers Guide’ (second slide) had all types of folks whining about the #6rings and I couldn’t figure out why…but when I started looking at the profiles of the complainers and I realized these people are just hella young and I’m just hella old…
So…yea…6 rings look ridiculous now…and to new eyes especially…but they were one of the hottest shoes you could get when they weren’t actually releasing a new Jordan retro on the daily. There was once a time when we’d see - quite literally - four Jordan retros a year…a YEAR! FOUR. A. YEAR. Unlike today where they dropping multiple retros every single day of the year.
All those that were around collecting sneakers and paying attention to shoes in the mid 00’s know that 6 rings satiated our thirst for a dry desert of Jordan retros for a brief moment in time and we will never forget it…it’s just a fact. #sorrynotsorry
