I’d say 2020’s most hyped Jordan 1 has to be the Dior 1’s...dudes droppin $10k on any pair of shoes - let alone a pair of white and grey shoes - is something I will NEVER understand, but StockX has recorded more than 500 sales since they released ~3 months ago.
2020 has had it’s honorable mentions of Jordan 1’s (to wear - give me the Biohack or maybe the Space Hippies over that Dior 1 any day), but I’d say probably the second most hyped Jordan 1 of the year has to be the @jbalvin . And what’s not to like? The colors, the materials, the panelling...I think if it were up to me the only thing I’d change is the color of the sole. But when the hell is it coming out?
I mean...do they even exist? I have a buddy that works at Jordan Brand, and he tells me samples definitely exist, but has a release date even been established? Didn’t these hit social media back in February? I know planning takes years and production takes months, and especially with COVID...releases take a while.
BUT It looks like a pair sold on @stockx TODAY for $5k. How can StockX guarantee authenticity on a shoe that hasn’t even been released? How can StockX guarantee authenticity on a shoe that DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A RELEASE DATE?
I’m starting to see images pop up, though. Everyone in the DMs asking me ‘who’s your plug?’. Stop asking. I don’t have a plug...my collection seriously would not interest anyone who talks about a ‘plug’. I have NO PLUG because I really don’t buy these kinds of shoes. The pics - I just observe what people are posting on social media in China - and that’s where these pics are from. And these shoes look amazing. ‘Fake’? ‘Real’? Who knows? These look AMAZING.
BUT for a shoe that hasn't been released and for a sale that is being facilitated by a ‘legit’ company...what exactly is ‘real’ and what exactly is ‘fake’?
