Who remembers me posting an in-depth look into a pair of Derek Jeter XI’s that some dude dropped $21k for? The pair I did a TON of research on and thought they were fake? A handful of commenters were saying I was an idiot and they don’t make fake samples…I'm starting to suspect the guys who said I was wrong were the actual sellers...lol
Well, looky here...what about these ‘2 Rings’ @trayfour XI’s?
They’re interesting pair with an interesting backstory...if you google ‘@soleyghost Ray Allen XI’...you’ll see a lot on them. Or even if you just google ‘Gold Mine Ray Allen XI’s’ you’ll find a whole @slammagazine video created in conjunction with @trayfour explaining the history of the shoe. And there's a whole @sneakerwatch video with @soleyghost explaining his take on the pair @jimjones got got with.
What’s a real pair worth? $10k? $20k? $50k? Who knows...it’s a wild rare pair and the market for this kind of shoe is very small...it’s hard to find the right buyer, but once you find the right buyer you can cash the hell out. So how many pairs exist? Again - Who knows...nobody really publishes the production numbers, but I’d guess there are less than 10 real pairs in existence - and IMO that’s a liberal estimate. Ray Allen says there’s only a few pairs out there for his friends and family...so...what?
Again - these pics are coming from a rep source in China. And they come *complete* with the sample tag. And they appear to fix most of what @soleyghost is referring to in his legit check video. This is EXACTLY what I brought up about two years ago when I went into great detail on that pair of $21k Jeter XI’s; Fake and replica manufacturers know how to churn out these Player Exclusives and samples are starting to produce them nearly 100% accurately. And they're selling them for a fraction of the cost - this pair in particular? $130 USD.
I chatted with the seller - he told me they might hit the market. They're still deliberating. If they do - how long before all your favorite sneakerlebrities claims their pair is authentic?
Save your money, yo.
