Gotta say I created my own mismash version of this concept for this post (swipe) but this one is WAY better. Even though it’s missing my favorite Bootleg (that’s right, the Air Dong). 
 
I know we are all tryna find our ‘passion’ during this pandemic. We are all tryna work towards the world we want to see. And I’m not normally this ornery... but holy sh!t there are a lot of these. It’s like the ‘fast food’ version of fashion ‘design’. Do we consider it design? I’ve never taken a design class in my life I have no idea what the proper term for it is... 
 
I have a friend I went to college with and this dude was always scheming...one day he’s tryna flip shoes, the next day he’s tryna flip gold chains, the next day he’s buying sticker machines to flip stickers, the next day it’s cds & dvds, etc. I used to say he ‘works harder to NOT work than anyone I know’. That’s kind of what this reminds me of.  
 
Again...I don’t want to talk down on anyone trying to build something for themselves. I’m always experimenting with ideas and running through schemes in my head. Rarely do they ever make it to fruition, though. Look - my most successful venture has been sneakers on trading cards. Not exactly rocket science, huh?  
 
Y’all know I teach high school, right? I’m not teaching this year (stay at home dad), but when I am teaching, I am a master at trying to bring the best out of my students. Even when I know they’re half-assing it, you’d better believe I’m at their elbow every 45 seconds reminding them that they can do better and I KNOW they can. I know nothing about what goes into developing a streetwear brand, but I can assure you - To everyone who thinks making Jordan 1’s and/or Dunk imitations is the ONLY way to get your streetwear brand off the ground - lemme just say in my best teacher voice: ‘I KNOW you can do better’.
