If you don’t feel like a chump after hearing about this whole ‘Trophy Room’ debacle, you probably are a chump. My god. The ridiculousness involved in this drop is unparalleled. This is like some @robinhoodapp style thievery.   
  
Again, I could care less about this shoe. I could care less about just about any of these ‘hyped’ shoes because what they are doing is painfully obvious to me and I’m done falling into that trap…they’re like those thirst traps on IG...just showing me something I’ll never be indulging in. Pointless.  
  
Now, again, from what I gather - the GOATs son, Marcus Jordan, of @trophyroomstore got his own Jordan 1 and created a hit. A significant number of these ‘leaked’ a few weeks (months) back and Marcus decided to get on Twitter to call these leakers out.   
  
As of today, the prevailing theory about what has happened has now fallen directly on Marcus’ shoulders - folks are saying HE is the one who backdoored the authentic pairs. The shoes that were supposed to end up at his shop were backdoored by him for multiple $k/pair, instead of retail. And if that is indeed the case, the fact that he tweeted about it - makes this especially corny - he basically authenticated all of the pairs he pushed out his backdoor by tweeting that those pairs that were on the marketplace were indeed from his stash (even though HE is the one who backdoored them!)

I have zero proof of this and I have zero proof of anything that may or may not have happened. I know nothing - only that what I’m reading and hearing is just bananas. Other than the fact that the basic precept of artificial demand is flawed, this is next-level f*ckery. The idea of getting MILLIONS of people to beast over a regular shoe by GIVING it away to celebrities and ‘tastemakers’ while only releasing 200 to 2000 to 20000 or even 200000 pairs for regular people is just pure bullsh*t. If you take a look at the numbers - it looks like the only ‘shot’ most regular people had to get them (ie: bot them) has been reduced by roughly 90%. 😆
