Socks. Yes, unisocks. Gooble it. I found out about them when they were around $20k/pair and that was like a month ago.
I’m gonna do my best to explain it the way that I understand it - I could be TOTALLY wrong, but this is how I understand it: In a ‘test’ of sorts, this company listed digital tokens for roughly 300 pairs of ‘Unisocks’, starting around $10/each. These digital tokens could be redeemed by any token holder for a physical pair of socks. The rub was - each and every transaction had to be higher than the last. As the tokens were traded around, the actual supply of *physical socks dwindled (people were redeeming them), while by the same token the actual price for these tokens was increasing.
Last I checked, there were 11 pairs of socks left and the low low price of $115k.
