I’m always a bit intrigued when I see headlines like this - 39,000 items “worth $53,700,000 if real”? Who comes up with these numbers? The same people that price things on that show ‘storage wars’? $5 for a used CD all day! Righhhht.
Makes me think of is the homeland security officer stuck behind his desk making an excel spreadsheet of the counterfeit items with the sole purpose of provide an ‘if authentic’ amount for the press. You know this dude just took the highest value he could find online and put it in his running total column. Probably blanketed it across items that looked similar. An average of $1,376.92 retail per item doesn’t sound very reasonable 😂
