I used to sell a ton on eBay…this kind of stuff always killed me. Dude offered $35 on an $85 item…regardless of what it’s worth - he got called out and justified it in the weakest way possible.
‘I offered exactly half’
Uh, no. With shipping, taxes, and fees, you’re offering close to 1/4th of his asking price.
I make it a practice to never offer less than 20% of anyones asking price and rarely ever accept anything less than 25% off my asking.
It’s simple, really. Try putting yourself in the other persons shoes before submitting a stupid ass offer. Ask yourself - ‘would I accept this offer if I were the one selling?’
