@sneakerpreservationsociety posted the XX3 yesterday and it had my wheels spinning…I LOVE the XX3…I think it’s such a dope shoe. I know most people consider the XX3 to be the last REAL Jordan, even though he never wore the XIX-XX3 on court, but the brand obviously insists that we are up to the 36. I, personally, consider there to be 23 *real* signature Jordan models (the first 23)…but I know that there are plenty after the XX3 that I personally prefer to several in the first 23. I’d take a 28, 29, 30, 31, 34 or 36 over a 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21 or 22 any day…
And…I know that most people don’t give a damn about anything after the XIV anyway. But…for the purposes of this question, let’s assume that we are only talking about the first 23 signature Jordans - I-XX3.
I’ve owned several hundred pairs of Jordans over the years and worn damn near ALL of them for extended periods of time. I’ve tried many on court, but most become more about style than anything (and y’all know I have style)…but it had me thinking…there are a number of pairs that I’ve tried on but never wore and have no intention of ever wearing. I know that I’ve never worn a pair of XV’s, XVI’s, XVIII’s, XIX’s, XX’s, XX1’s, nor XX2’s in my life. 7 out of 23. That’s 30%. For a dude who’s been collecting sneakers for almost 25 years (me) to have never worn 30% of the most popular sneaker line of all time was kind of surprising to me…I’ve owned them all. But I haven’t worn those above.
How many of y’all have worn 100% of the signature Jordan line? How many of y’all have worn more than 50%?
As for Lebron sigs…I’ve worn about…1 out of 19 😂
