When you see shoes of this caliber (doper than a GR, kind of a low key collab) *this* dirty, do you think it's a young, irresponsible kid who doesn't know how to take care of his shoes? Or do you think it's an old guy who stopped caring? Or...?
When I go sneaker shopping (almost exclusively at second hand and thrift stores), I often wonder about shoes past owners...some pairs are immaculate, some are beat to shit, some are lightly used, some look good but are harshly worn. Clearly some people know what they have, some people know and don't care, some people don't know but care, and some people don't know and don't care.
I think...now that I'm watching myself get older. And the wrinkles in my face are getting deeper and harsher...and I'm realizing that my sneakers will last quite a bit longer than my earthly body...I'm starting to realize that I don't care about keeping things as immaculate as possible.
My kids and I were playing tag in the park the other day and I ended up jumping in a massive mud puddle to get away. With my kids, I'm 107-0 right now. So, yeah, old guy who (kinda) stopped caring.
