Man...seeing these two comments back to back on this Reddit post (swipe) hit me kinda hard. I don't think *either of these commenters are out of pocket, but both are coming from clearly different points of view...IMO they are both appropriate but I don't know if I ever would have thought of this if I didn't see it laid out so plainly before me...

Is this the difference between a 40 year old sneakerhead and a 20 year old sneakerhead...? As it stands, Jordan hasn't graced a court in nearly 20 years...he hasn't worn the Jordan 2's on court in nearly 40 years...A 20 year old, not having seen any real time Jordan gameplay, likely has *much* more connection to Virgil's contribution than Jordan's...
Who deserves to be referred to as the pronoun in this particular scenario? Is it Jordan or Virgil? For this particular shoe...I have been subconsciously referring to these as the Virgil 2's. As crazy as it sounds, up until now it's been completely unintentional, but 'Jordan' doesn't even enter the conversation with these.
