Anyone out there into this kind of stuff? Anyone cop the eBook or join the community? The idea of making a life around reselling sneakers? I think it’s kind of funny how much of a cliche being a ‘sneaker reseller’ has become. I think it’s interesting that people have been able to make a whole lifestyle out of this stuff, but I’m always worried about the sustainability so I never really took it *that* seriously…I know that there are *plenty* of people that I know and respect that have made this thing work for them and I think it’s great…but for the average person…is this something you could do for a lifetime? A career?
I’m probably looking at it the wrong way.
I was brought up to believe that I would ‘be something’ or would have a ‘career’, when it seems like the world just isn’t really set up like that any more…most employment seems temporary, many companies seem temporary, a lot of things are just running on credit. I’ve never been good at holding down a ‘job’ for more than a year or two anyway, so I’m biased.
In any case, I'd be interested in reading some of these articles, just to see an alternate perspective...but...I dunno. I ain't payin for any of it.
I think it’s interesting that people are making their own way…I also think it’s interesting that the vast majority of my students goal was to be YouTube stars…this doesn’t really seem all that far off. How many of y’all find this stuff like absolutely cringe? How many of y’all have benefitted from reselling? How many of y’all resell for real?
