‘Begging’? LOL
Well, welcome to pre-2010.
I first started going out heavy when I worked on Wall Street…so like…2004…I’d say that going out took on *many different meanings. But I quickly realized that most of the places that I actually *wanted to go out to didn’t have these ‘sneaker’ dress codes.
If I wanted to go to a place that had a ‘hard bottoms’ rule (ie: no sneakers), I’d usually just suck it up and wear some hard bottoms.
I’d say I noticed things changed around 2010…or…at least…that’s when I noticed they started allowing more sneakers inside clubs. Or, maybe I just started going to different types of clubs. Or, maybe, I just realized that I didn’t want to go anywhere that didn’t accept me where I felt comfortable being me.
To all you youngn’s…There are two obvious solutions to this problem…
1. Wear what they’re asking you to wear.
Or
2. Go somewhere else.
At this point in my life, I’d *much* prefer to go somewhere else.
