Alright...so...big news for me today. Today marks a bit of a departure from 'business as usual'.
As some of you know, I've been building out sneaker trading card sets since the pandemic started. I teamed up with a few people and we started flying by the seat of our pants. We ran into some *timing* issues on the last set released (Air Max Pax)...it was rushed and even still, it ended up dropping several months late. I know we haven't dropped anything *new* in about a year, but it wasn't cuz we were sitting there doing nothing. We been working. And today marks the day that our *one year* plan goes into place.
We have at least three new card sets dropping over the next year. Hopefully dropping one every 3-4 months. Now, these are card *sets*, not card *packs*. FULL sets. Of just base cards. We will be selling full base sets as a standalone product. 200+ cards each. But what about the special insert/chase cards?
The number one complaint I got over the past releases (besides the foil thickness) - a lot of people didn't get a chance to pull the insert cards that they really wanted, and it didn't make sense to keep buying packs when they already had full sets in hopes of pulling a 1:72 pack card. Understandable.
So. We're trying something else. For these next three sets...the special cards are all going to be released as pre-orders. With a few super limited cards sprinkled here and there. We’ve got some dope collaborations lined up for these special cards.
Anyway, the releases for the rest of the month - the Hawaii Edition Air Max 1 cards - are meant to be a farewell to the first Air Max Pax drop...closing that chapter of The Savant and opening up the @1tostock chapter, which is really just a group of us just trying to tell some dope stories.
Starting the first Monday in July - we'll begin dropping pre-orders for 'chase' cards from our 90s basketball set - which has been named "NBA One Day" ...
