Not my order but it struck a nerve.
Part of the reason I worked for so long and so hard on 'The Sneaker Savant' grading, was because I had a real issue trying to prevent something like this from happening. One day, the shoe is in your possession, and it looks perfectly fine...and then...you ship them out and they arrive at their destination complitely obliterated.
For the most part...IMO...no one is really at fault. It's just a natural consequence of time. Things get old. They break down. They deteriorate.
So how do you address this problem if this is the lane you decide to deal in?
I've had people send me shoes from all over the world wrapped in cottonballs and bubblewrap and pillows as soft as @champagnepapi 's raps. Still...they crumbled.
How do you hold onto (sneaker) history when it's clearly falling apart? Is there another solution? Follow @1tostock for some creative ideas (if you're still a wanker and haven't clicked the 'follow' button yet)...
