Anyway...so...I remember reading this article in 2008. I remember sitting at my desk, on Wall Street, bored out of my mind, coming across this article and thinking to myself...'huh, this should be interesting'.
Before 7,000,000 'leaked' photos of new releases, some schlub at ESPN was sitting behind a desk writing up a no-frills, no-pics article for ESPN hoping somebody...anybody...would care.
And it actually worked. I cared.
I wasn't a big 'Kobe' guy back then (you can certainly call me a 'Laker-hater' and I wouldn't object). I was used to rockin AF1 mids or Jordan's to play ball in. I figured this would be interesting, though, and would give it a shot if I had the opportunity.
First pair I bought from around this period was a pair of 5's and, yeah, I liked 'em. Bought the 6's and had a similar experience. 7's, 8's, 9's, even 10's. I was into them all. It's *so dope to see NBA players *still wearing these shoes.
No interesting question today, just some commentary on the history...
