I know I'm not the first to say it, but I think this shoe is ass.

Regardless of the story, nothing about this shoe is even remotely appealing to me...I don't even know if some cool colorways could save it.

It's interesting, because as far as I can tell, they only *really* started telling the history of this shoe within the past few years...and I think the first time I ever *really* heard about it was through @mjo23dan or @sneakerdave . I'm glad that they were able to alter the narrative, and I'm glad that storytellers like @instyleshoes1999 are able to share the *actual history.

But I feel like revisionist history doesn't work so well when it comes to fashion.

They basically fibbed the original 'banned story', made a KILLING off the AJ1, then revised their brand history to admit that the 'air ship' was the actual 'banned' shoe.

The rollout has been pretty terrible. How do you get people to care and identify with a 38 year old design that virtually no one has ever actually seen? Kinda makes sense as to why their marketing around it has been abysmal...just seems like an impossible task. I don't know if there's anything they could do to get me to care about this shoe....
