Two things I've noticed since this announcement:
1. Sneakerheads prefer @goat over @stockx by almost 400%
2. @grailed has been utterly DRY for me and the things I typically look for...
Not sure if the acquisition has anything to do with the two points above, but I've definitely noticed a wind change...(maybe I'm aging faster than I thought)...
I pitched GOAT, once, through hard copy letters (lol). I've applied to a handful of jobs there, too. Obviously I was ignored (lol). BUT I have yet to have a bad experience with GOAT. Pretty much the same with Grailed.
What I like about this announcement...it makes sense. GOAT sticks with what they know and they do it well. Nobody is buying webcams or rubber pools on GOAT. It's just...sneakers and streetwear.
BTW - there's an episode of 'The Business of Hype' with the founders of Grailed...quite illuminating.
Anyway...anyone have any thoughts on this acquisition?
