@50cent and G-Unit really had taken the reigns in 2003 and Jordan Brand was really severely underestimating their reach...G-Unit sneakers were available at any and every sneaker store in New York...multiple pairs, multiple colorways and it seemed like they were droppin' new pairs every day. They were much cheaper than Jordans and they were far more disposable (you didn't feel bad wearing them). Jordan Brand, on the other hand, was only releasing ONE retro per month...you'd be lucky to find a pair, let alone a pair in your size...
100+ available models per year > 12 non-available models per year
An interesting time, that's for sure...
