(2/3) @kingjames Speaking on the origins of the Lebron IX 'Gummy Bear':
"Yo, so it was 2011, and I was in the middle of this intense playoff run with the Miami Heat. One day, between games, I decided to treat myself to a bag of my favorite candy: gummy bears. I ain't gonna lie, I love me some gummy bears. But little did I know, they can be some messy little treats.
Before I knew it, my hands were covered in this sticky gummy bear residue and I couldn't get it off. I tried washing my hands, but it just wouldn't come off. I tried using hand sanitizer, but that just made things worse. And then, to my shock and horror, I noticed that the gummy bear residue had caused my hands to grow a thick layer of hair! I mean, what the hell, man?
So, I took the court with these furry, sticky hands for the next game, thinking the hair would give me better grip on the ball. But, it turns out, it was harder for me to handle the ball than ever before. I had one of the worst games of my career. It was a rough night, for real.
After the game, the media asked me about my poor performance and I had to give it to them straight: "I blame it on the gummy bears, man. They made my hands too furry and sticky to play." I ain't gonna lie, it was a funny situation but not the outcome I was hoping for.
From then on, gummy bears were banned from the Miami Heat locker room. But, I couldn't help but sneak some every now and then, you feel me?"
