No, I don’t have beef with @fatjoe or @kingjames, and I don’t have beef with the GOAT.
Long story short - these weird posts are all AI-generated. Not like just ‘AI-generated’, but more like ideas that I had in my head that I wasn’t all that sure about how to start.
A few months ago, while I’m complaining about how difficult it is to come up with content from time to time…a friend says to me ‘man, you should come up with bullsh*t origin stories for some of these sneakers.’ And after noodling on it for a bit, I thought…’hey, that’s not such a bad idea.’
I actually wrote a few of them out, but I kept running into diction issues. I just didn’t feel like I was writing them particularly well. I noticed I used a lot of the same words over and over again, and everything just started sounding repetitive. It reminded me of (nearly every new) release language with ‘this pair pays homage…’ and I just really didn’t want to get into that again.
So.
I ran my ideas through chatgpt and they came out ok. And then I realized…I could shift the perspective on everything I wrote, and have it re-written on a whim. And I can fine tune it. And I can switch the voice and the perspective. So…I got tied up and ran with it. And it was FUN. So I did another. And another. And another.
Once I had the story down, I started messing with stable diffusion to generate images and, being that most of my stories were just weird to begin with, I started seeing some weird images and thought…why not mash the two together?
So.
That’s what all of this is. And I’m going to be posting quite a bit more in the future, here. At least for the next few weeks. I can’t guarantee you’re find them as amusing as I do, but I can guarantee that a lot of thought went into them. And they *are* original thoughts…
