Services

I authenticate sneakers.
I grade shoes.
I preserve grails.
But that's not all I do.

Authentication

High quality replicas and fakes are easier than ever to find...and they're almost indistinguishable from authentic pairs. Why? The law of supply and demand: Super limited releases are creating a HUGE gap in the market. Most replica companies are taking far more time to ensure their products come out better than authentic pairs. What?

Grading

Have you ever purchased a brand new pair of shoes from your favorite company and were excited UNTIL you opened the box? Have you ever received a new pair with some pretty heavy defects? If it's a pair that sold out in a minute or less - what did you decide to do? I've seen - straight from the manufacturer - Yeezys with inch-long scratches...NikeLabs with pre-scuffed 'premium' leather...Air Maxes with mismatched air bubbles...Jordans with midsoles already separating from the soles and countless other factory flaws. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - an unworn pair does not necessarily mean it is a 10 out of 10.

What does a grade mean?

Here's a quick breakdown of one of THE most collectible pairs in the marketplace:

A Shoemetrics Graded Pristine 10/10 is a TRUE diamond in the rough. No production flaws. No handling flaws. No flaws from wear. NO. FLAWS. WHAT.SO.EVER. If you find a 10/10 - let us verify - you can justifiably earn more on a perfect pair than an imperfect pair.

Shoemetrics Grade 9/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 9/10 is most likely a shoe with notiecable glue stains around the upper (where the midsole is attached). Extremely common, especially with new pairs.

Shoemetrics Grade 8/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 8/10 is most likely a shoe with notiecable glue stains around the upper and one or two more minor flaws (in this case some minor signs of wear).

Shoemetrics Grade 7/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 7/10 might have some other minor flaws, but also might indicate more severe versions of the flaws of higher graded shoes.

Shoemetrics Grade 6/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 6/10 probably has one major flaw and a bunch of smaller flaws. It most likely has more severe versions of the flaws of higher graded shoes.

Shoemetrics Grade 5/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 5/10 probably has a couple major flaws and a bunch of smaller flaws. It most likely has more severe versions of the flaws of higher graded shoes.

Shoemetrics Grade 4/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 4/10 probably has a couple major flaws and a bunch of smaller flaws. It most likely has more severe versions of the flaws of higher graded shoes.

Shoemetrics Grade 3/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 3/10 probably has a couple major flaws and a bunch of smaller flaws. It most likely has more severe versions of the flaws of higher graded shoes.

Shoemetrics Grade 2/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 2/10 probably has a couple major flaws and a bunch of smaller flaws. It most likely has more severe versions of the flaws of higher graded shoes.

Shoemetrics Grade 1/10 A Shoemetrics Graded 1/10 is a shoe you should stay away from at all costs. Seriously. Unless it's one of a kind and from 25+ years ago, it has no business being in the rotation.

This is what I need to grade or authenticate a pair of shoes.

Preservation

I loved owning sneaker rarities, but I hated the fact that they most of what I owned was just ending up in my closet. What's the point of owning all of these dope vintage shoes if I rarely get a chance to enjoy them?

So the preservation case I created...

  • ...is made from Japanese Mitsubishi acrylic (yes, THAT Mitsubishi)
  • ...is 1/4 inch thick (more than twice as thick as any other brand on the market)
  • ...is Ultraviolet Resistent (and I have the lab results to prove it)
  • ...comes with dustproof, waterproof, breathable vents (which are great if you live in a humid area)

If you can find a preservation case on the market - something that preserves your grails better than this case - prove it and I'll send you one for free.
